Strokestown Park House, in association with the Centre for the Study of Historic Irish Houses & Estates, Maynooth University, presents a series of public lectures as follows:

LECTURE 1 Wednesday, 15 October 8pm

Prof Terence Dooley, The decline and fall of the Dukes of Leinster: Love, war, debt and madness

LECTURE 2 Wednesday, 19 November** 8pm

Dr Ciarán Reilly, Some insights into the Great Famine in Roscommon

This talk will be followed by the launch of Dr Reilly’s book Strokestown and the Great Irish Famine, which will be published by Four Courts Press in November (Please note there is no admission fee for this lecture).
